Oh hey. A dessert I didn’t break. I think I have ended the streak!
You guys. These are amazing. Luscious, chocolatey, decadent… these are just a few words I might use to describe these little cups of joy. I only wish there were more! I do so love melted chocolate though… am I alone in this?
I thought I might get cute and add a truffle in each, but I had a rather frustrating grocery store excursion in general, and just decided to use two pieces of Ghirardelli bittersweet chocolate instead (which certainly turned out more than ok). I did go the extra step of sugaring the cups which I loved the consistency of… that little extra crunch.
Another benefit to these is that they are super easy to make. I had originally considered making the batter ahead, but wasn’t sure how that would affect the outcome (if anyone tried this I would love to hear your experience). Nevertheless the whole thing took such a short amount of time using basic pantry staples that it really isn’t necessary to make the batter ahead; you could easily make these in a pinch and still impress anyone. I hope everyone enjoyed these as much as we did!
