WIP Wednesday

OMG. Can you believe it? It is Wednesday and I am actually posting!

As they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I thought that my Christmas break would get me back into regular posting again, but the minute we got back in the office it was back to the normal craziness. This time of the year is intense since we are jockeying for position in the year’s road map, which basically has me zonked. I walk after work most days, make dinner, and then find myself passing out on the sofa afterward. Including the fact that my Ott light is still packed somewhere, my stitching time has been limited to weekends. Then I forget to take a picture of my progress, promising that I will do it on Monday or Tuesday, and then I look up and we are facing the weekend all over again!

For a minute two weekends ago I thought I was losing my stitching mojo, but it turns out I was just tired. I spent quite a bit of time working on Tradewinds this weekend. I didn’t have a Guilt Free January start but there are a few things singing to me from my stash. We will see if I cave to the pressure. In the meanwhile I want to make sure I continue my progress. Last year I had a piece to rotate between, which was nice because it always kept my interest fresh on Tradewinds, and I am thinking I may need that again. It has been a long time since I had a true focus piece and I am afraid my attention span is too short to have a focus on just one piece these days!

  1. Wow, what a hectic time you’re in! Take it easy (well, as much as you can!)

  2. Me too – I have no WIP wednesday to post this week, thanks to the end of our fiscal year here at work. It was a holiday weekend yet I worked all 3 days! I’m looking forward to my day off tomorrow. Tradewinds is looking good.
