Through the Stars – a Stitching Happy Dance

With little time to spare, and certainly by burning the midnight oil (whilst re-watching Poirot on Netflix), I am excited to share my last Happy Dance of 2015 – “Through the Stars“, the Clouds Factory 2015 Zodiac Mystery Sampler. This piece was stitched on 32-count Lugana “Dream” by Sunny Dyes Fabrics. I finished it on schedule, as I planned, before the year ended.

There was an option to stitch corners on this for a square finish, but I opted not to. I rather like the round finish, not to mention that I was just so over working with the Marlitt, thankyouverymuch. Though I will say, use a thread conditioner like Thread Heaven to make it easier to work with.

I definitely enjoyed the surprise of how each segment would turn out, and it was a nice change of pace from working on Trade Winds. This, of course, means that I get to start a new piece in January! Enjoy the pictures…

  1. IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL!! I love the round as well and would have made that same decision. Cannot wait to see your new start!
